POST-TREATMENT CARE

Protect Your Investment! Main Goal: keep brows dry as possible until flaking is done (~2wks). DRY SHAMPOO is going to be your bestie next couple of weeks! The right after-care can truly make a massive difference in results.

To help you get the best results possible from your microblading procedure I’ve outlined some key tips.

Day 1 ( first few hours):

Absorb

Every 5-10mins for the 1-2hrs gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluids, until “sweating” has stopped. Removing this fluid prevents hardening/scabbing. Afterwards, no touching! Don't get wet, don't wash, or touch it. Keep out of sun (for 30 days), no heavy sweating, no sauna, no creams for at least a 10 days. Clean pillowcase!

FOR 2 DAYS ONLY:

Wash

GENTLY DAB brows with a paper towel or makeup pad with barely any cleanser! Shouldn’t leave any water on brows, it needs to be barely damp. Don't worry, this does not remove the pigment. This is for two days only every morning and night. Dab dry with dry paper towel, make sure your brows are very dry before applying moisturizer. DO NOT use any cleansing products containing acids (glycolic, lactic, or AHA), or any exfoliants. No picking.

Moisturize

Apply a teeny amount of aftercare balm with a cotton swab or clean finger tips. Be sure not to over-apply as this will suffocate your skin and have poor healing. If it looks like you have the same amount as chapstick then it’s too much. If you have thick full natural brows then use spoolie to gently pull down brows to apply directly on skin, but avoid touching skin and snagging any flakes. Moisturizer only goes on dry (not damp) tattoo.

*if you have oily skin, dab once or twice a day with dry paper towel to absorb extra oils until flaking is done*

Important Reminders:

  • Fresh pillowcase, and sleep on back

  • Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally fall off. Picking can cause scarring or loss of color

  • No face creams or makeup remover with oils

  • Avoid makeup on treated area

  • No facials, botox, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks

  • Light exercise without sweating for 10 days

  • Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks. Wear a hat outdoors, no sunscreen.

  • No swimming, lakes, hot tubs, baths til flaking is done (1.5-2wks)

  • Showering: DO NOT get your brows wet, not even a tiny bit.  DRY SHAMPOO will be your bestie :)

*Please note that each client’s skin responds differently to microblading, and this information acts as a guideline only. Depending on your healing you may need a 3rd touch-up.
